"Allison Offline", written by Gordon Rayfield
A Staged Reading of a 2011 Screenplay Competition Finalist Entry.
Synopsis:
Alison Offline is about an adorably geeky, socially challenged computer game designer with a dry wit and a bag full of irrational fears. She grew up in arcades and in front of computers, and spends almost all of her time on line, gaming, role-playing, working, tweeting and creating a
video game called Laser Duck for the company she started with her best friend. But her comfortable, self-contained virtual world is threatened by her disintegrating marriage, a major
bug in the game, an unscrupulous business rival, and an unexpected romance with a charming
comic.
Gordon Rayfield (Writer)
Gordon wrote the Showtime film, Our America, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival
and won the prestigious Humanitas Prize. He has written for Law & Order and other series and
his plays have been produced across the U.S., in Canada, Europe and Israel.
Melinda Hall (Director)
Melinda is a writer, director, actor and acting teacher. She is currently directing the documentary film: HOW SHAKESPEARE CHANGED MY LIFE starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Liev Schreiber, James Earl Jones and other great artists. She is a member of AEA, SAG and The Dramatist Guild.

Julia Jones (Shannon, Renata, Kylie, Chemical Chicken Voice)
Julia Jones holds a BFA from NYU, and has appeared in numerous Offand Off-Off-Broadway plays. Her film credits include “Kithara” in Hell and “Ophelia” in Hamlet.
Kate Murello (Alison)
Kat Murello has been working and traveling as a magician’s assistant for the last 9 years. Trained in improv from UCB, Kat is now moving into television hosting and acting. She currently appears in the film NO OFFENSE which is making the rounds in the film festival circuit. SAG/AFTRA/AEA.
Matt Ritchey (Jason, Lloyd, Storm Trooper 2)
Matt Ritchey (SAG/AFTRA) is a graduate of NYU and RADA and has been living in Los Angeles for the last twelve years enjoying sunshine. He has performed and directed in LA, NYC, DC and London. His latest thriller, NEVERMORE, just premiered in January for a sold-out theatrical run in Hollywood. He's a Scorpio.
Brian Sheppard (Louie, Dr. Krakow, Brent, 'Realfun Brent', Clerk,
Pushpa, Laser Duck VO)
Brian Sheppard hails from the distant pig farms of Indiana. He has appeared in anything from Italian circus theater performances to all-male Shakespeare. He has a M.F.A. in Acting from Northern Illinois University and looks forward to a career in the food service industry.
Daniel Morgan Shelley (Zack, Jonah, Storm Trooper 1)
Daniel Morgan Shelley was last seen playing Nat Turner in Lucy Thurber's THE INSURGENTS. Other favorite credits include title characters in OTHELLO, ROMEO & JULIET, and THE MAN WHO ATE MICHAEL ROCKEFELLER. T.V: LAW & ORDER. Training: Juilliard. No Day But Today!
